School Without Walls Senior high School, honors Jasmin Drain
Jasmin Drain, 17 year old high school student, now published author kicked off her first public appearance atthe School Without Walls Senior High School, in Washington, D.C. Her book of poetry, "Internal Cries of Life", was released on November 1, 2004, and published by Three Dimensional Publishing Company of Silver Spring, Maryland.
Pictured on the left, Three Dimensional Publishing's publisher Dexter Akinsheye, presented Jasmin Drain Three Dimensional Publishing's Langston Hughes and Gwendolyn Brooks Book award of 2004, at the School Without Walls Senior High School.
The program was well attended by it's principal Ms. Sheila Mills Harris, Ms. Karen Green, Assistant Principal, teachers, students and guests. The ceremony was held in the school's library on November 4, 2004 and hosted by Ms. Sharon Vollin, the school's Librarian.
